Clutch troubles

'89 110 that I replaced the clutch master and slave on last week and adjusted everything up. It has been working without issue for the last week.
Today after a few miles down the motorway when I then went to use the clutch the pedal was much heavier than normal and the bite point was high. I continued the journey but it seems to have steadily got worse and now slips under full power.
I will try readjusting the master but it was working fine before.
Is this likely to be a new problem so something related to the hydraulics?

try adjusting the push rod for master cylinder if its too far adjusted fluid doesnt fully return so clutch ratchets on during use

Having re-adjusted in the carpark at work it it appears to be working again although I have not driven it far yet. Thank you for the help.
