Hello looking for advice :)

Have just bought a new master and slave cylinder as my clutch has not been disengaging sometimes and fluid was leaking around the master. I have noticed that my push rod doesn't seem to have any springiness or return pressure not sure if this is normal. Doesn't seem to have poked through the fork. Any help or clarification would be much appreciated... as I am traveling to Edinburgh to do courses soon!

I have uploaded the video to youtube as I couldn't work out how to upload here.

Many Thanks
Tjay

That is most likely free play.
The arms can punch through, and then you lose the pedal totally.

New master and slave will see you okay, remember to fit slave nipple at the top.

Thank you very much for the quick replies! Just what I wanted to hear as well! Have had to fit the old slave as the new one has a larger diameter thread. All seems to be working for now :). I ordered a new pipe which fits the new slave, although I have noticed the new slave (FTC5202) has a much beefier spring. Are R380 and LT77 slaves interchangeable or am I going to have to buy a new one? I think I already know the answer🤦‍♂️

If it physically fits then fit it.
I found no matter what the make you fit the masters are all crap, maybe 18 mths to two years at best, cheap and named ones, this was used as a daily though.
It is actually easier to remove the pedal box then swap the masters over, as the bottom fixing bolt is a grade A tosspot.
