Clutch Pedal

the assistance spring upgrade makes a huge difference. I jumped into my new 110 to keep me going while I rebuild my other one and no matter how many times I drive a standard Defender, the weight of the clutch is always a shock to the system for a couple of gear changes after driving my other one or a car and given that I do MMA, mountain biking and lots of stuff like that, it's not like my legs are weak lol.


Ordered a new spring yesterday for it as the original one on it is squeaky loads anyway and annoying me

Just got this taken off a 2014 TDCI Defender. Going to get garage to have a go at fitting it, probably after the holidays now.
Will the master cylinder be ok as it looks different, or will I have to put my old one back in ??

Unscrew the sensor on top, the bottom bit that diverts the pipe connection off to 90degrees will come off too, leaving you with the standard one on the top as you normally would.
How I did mine if I remember right as I've still got the bits sat in my toolbox.

Thanks Mate.
Would have a go at it myself but not to sure on how to bleed the clutch fluid back through properly.
Just hope it makes the pedal a bit lighter.

Hi mate - let me know how you get on as I'm keen on updating / replacing clutch. The sqeek is beyond annoying!

To get rid of the squeak there is a small plate about 3 inches by 1 inch just below the master cylinder on top of the clutch box remove it just six screws, then lubricate the pivot for the clutch. No more squeak...

I have a Red Booster servo fitted in my 200tdi and can easily fully push the clutch pedal down with one finger.
It's lighter than a Japanese hatchback.
