M 1974 series 3 has been on the road now for a month since it's rebuild. After about a week I started to get a screeching noise at biting point but only from a standstill. I thought it must be thrust bearing which I didn't replace during rebuild as was fine beforehand (I did replace clutch plate), but it only does it when cold or vehicle has not been used for a few hours and does not do it while changing up on the move. If thrust bearing wouldn't it do it all the time?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

cheap skate you should allways change clutch as 4 peice ,brg, spgot bush ,cover and plate unless series 2 which uses oil lubed bearing if noise is at half pedal but not at begining or when fully pressed down ,spigot bush ,at any pedal position when pressed release bearing
