I own a 300tdi, clutch master cylinder replacement is quite easy.

My freind owns a TD5. He says that his mechanic told him that the dashboard has to come out to get to the clutch master cylinder????

The TD5 was just here and I had a look.
It looks as easy as mine, almost the same except for a sensor on top of the cylinder.

Is the mechanic bulsh%tting?

Thanks.

Bo**ocks - mines on the long list 'to do', but clearly dismantled from under the bonnet, top plate then box off, pedal out (rubber off apparently to fit through bulkhead access). Can't wait - way too cold currently, but seepage is getting worse......:( A

it's a piece of cake to replace it
