Ive just fitted a new clutch master cylinder and it seems to all work fine apart from the pedal is not high enough from the floor. It should be about 5'1/2" from the bottom of the pedal but it is nearly and inch lower.

There doesnt seem to be enough adjustment on the master cylinder to make up this difference but my query was which way should you adjust the cylinder should you screw it away from the cylinder in order to gain more height?

Help will be much appreciated.:D

if its the same as my series 3 there is a bolt with locknut under pedal box under bonnet adjusted to give 5.5 inches. the adjustment on the master cylinder pushrod is for the pedal/piston free play this will determine where the biting point is
