good point fred, i used to have a montego with the perky in it and fair enough it was reliable, and fair comment about yer freelander, if you like it thats good enough, i notice you aint defending the vm engine tho

as for gaylanders ah don't give a ship wot engine you put in it its still gonna be ****. ffs some gaylander owner posted a thread because his lights went on and doors fell off when he washed it.

BTW YD, VM (how many initials) engine went like sh** off a shovel...... and so did the head gaskets. Your comments prove you to be sensible, and level headed, as i said about my freelander, i will talk from experience, maybe in 6 weeks time i will be calling it a pile of crap, but i had to try one, and on paper it fits in with my needs. I vote you stay in the club.
