Hi all, thinking of removing my (broken) clock as have one in the stereo and fitting a power supply for sat nav/dash cam in the hole. I understand the purple red and green wires are 12v?? Black is ground (Earth). If I were to wire in a 12v socket or dual socket with usb that has +/- spade ends on the rear how would I wire it?? I have the 8 pin connector and am on the understanding that the other wires are for radio display. Many thanks for help guys!!
:fighting2:

Green/white should be switched 12V. Purple permanent 12V and black GND. Yellow, green and blue are to the radio.

To be on the safe side you should wire + to green/white and - to to the black wire. On the other hand its usefull to have a 12V socket/USB active when the ignition is off. But if you forget something connected it will drain your battery.

Its also only a 10A fuse. So max you can get out of it is 120W which isnt to bad. But the one in your centre console got a 25A fuse.

Thanks JR you've kinda confirmed what I thought, I'm assuming I can link the Grounds?? Not too worried about having one permanent live connection as I'm pretty good at unplugging stuff. 10amp fuse should be ok for sat nav or phone charger I'm guessing??
thanks for the reply.

Yes no problem linking the ground. A phone charger is usually max 2A(fast charger) and sat nav around 0,5A-1A so still got some juice left.

Just checked the cable sizing to the clock which is 0,75mm so wouldnt draw 10A through it tough. But sat nav and charger is ok.
