My 2000 P38 2.5 DHSE has loonie central locking. It will just lock and unlock itself whilst moving or when stationary or just doing nothing! I have learnt NEVER to leave the keys in it and pushing the lock button on the front passenger door seems to shut it up. The problem will go away for a few days and then come back. It is quite happy clicking away to itself even on the ramp at the garage! I have taken the front passenger door to bits and checked and lubed all the connections and it still happens. Any advice out there??

Thanks people! My first question gets a workable and do-able answer. I am impressed and many thanks to one and all. Just replace the door lock and then there is a link that shows me what to do and how to do it. Would that all things were so simple. Off to the pub quiz tonight; guranteed a result!:)

The first thing you should do is CHANGE THE BATTERIES in both key fobs.

Get decent Duracell batteries from eBay or similar.

Mine was doing this all the time, changed the batteries over and problem solved.
