The previous owner fitted coil springs but Ive read the warning on the dash can be cleared by jumping wires under the drivers seat?

I had a look on Rangerovers.net but couldnt find the info I needed. Does anyone have a link I can follow?

Some relays may need removed or shorted?
Mine says EAS MANUAL on startup, was converted before i got it but noticed the eas ecu under ns seat are removed - don't know if anything else needed, could be some info to gather from people selling the kits.
 
You have to get an EAS bypass kit, should've come with the coil conversion but can be had for about £70 on eBay. On top of that you'll probably need to clear the EAS errors so will need the clear kit which can be had for about £8.
 
Telling him that is cheating. But then again it was not him who ruined his car i suppose. :D:D

The sooner he gets up to speed then the sooner he's going to roll it and then he'll be selling it off in bits and I'm looking for a few bits.

Ignoring for the moment, the design aspects, surely a Rangie is not going to be much different from a Disco in its C of G?
Why should it be more susceptible to rolling?

Try following a Range Rover on air around a corner at 50 plus mph with your Disco. The point is the Range Rover has a built in safety feature, in that it squats down over 50 mph to lower the C of G. Fitting coils removes that safety feature. A Range Rover on coils WILL roll over easier than one on air. Simples. Coppers rolled dozens of Classics on coils and were forbidden to do highspeed pursuit in them.

Int that a case of don't tank it round corners? Like any self respecting true land rover owner knows? :behindsofa: ;).

But you can tank a Range Rover on air around corners. It's just all the others that are ****. Classics and Discos on coils are like rowing boats. Series, well you can't really go fast enough to get in trouble unless you are brave enough to drive them through the wheel wobble at 55 mph. Defenders tend to be held to the road by the weight of the pigs in the back. :D:D
 
If your trying to push a P38 around a bend the EAS will also try to level the vehicles body as it leans over, a coiler will just allow the body to roll unchecked until it lifts a wheel...

I read these comments and all I can think is none of you know how to drive.
I take my Range Rover on coils around corners faster than most normal road cars and so far I'm yet to have a single wheel lift off of the ground, it feels like the doorhandles will scrape soon but never had a wheel up. The only exception being when I clipped the raised mud apex which had me on 2 wheels for a few seconds, but would in any car.

If doing 60 round a tight bend isn't enough to roll it then rolling isn't a concern, you'll never come across a bend fast enough to roll it. Yes, I'd rather I had air over coils, but honestly, if you're concerned about rolling, you're driving too fast for a public road anyway.
