Hi All,

Thought I'd let you know that my front drivers side clear indicator lens is filling up with washer fluid, and it ain't receding! I only bought them in November last year from Island4x4, so I contacted them, and they want me to purchase another one so that I can send them the faulty one back for evaluation! I sent them the picture that I attached to this post, what more do they want for proof that its knacked?

Anyway, out of point of principle I refuse to pay out for another one, so ask your opinion as to whether a small drill hole would be a good idea. If I drill it at the bottom of the glass, will the extra hole weaken the structural integrity or cause the interior to fog up? It fogs up a little, but not too much.

I'm just worried that with the liquid not evaporating, eventually it will build up level with the bulb and cause problems with the electrics!

Drilling a small hole will let the water out, is one way. Try taking the unit out of the car let the water out, air dry it indoors and re-seal the unit where it is bonded together with some clear mastic or sealant, then the only way the water could get in would be through the bulb holder. May be worth a try for a cheap fix.

Hmmmm, a 2 minute job as opposed to one that would take a couple of days out of the usage of me Disco....... I know I won't sleep at night if I don't do it properly! Cheers guys!
