Diesel spilled on Td4 during injector testing/removal. Not me I hasten to add, it was a warranty job.

Nothing visible but it stinks and is also stinking the cabin out.

What's the best way of cleaning this? I'm sure Gunk etc would be great but I'm wary of hosing down the electrics on the injectors even though they're rubber sealed.

Cheers

Edit: or how long for a diesel spill to burn off so it doesn't smell?

Along with your rubber.

I would just chuck some BIODEGRADABLE gunk on there then use a hand sprayer i.e one for plants... it will clear it off and not excessively soak anything..

Spilling diesel on an engine is unavoidable sometimes, soak up as much as possible and the take it for a good spin to evaporate the rest, I don't like using steam cleaners and jet washers in the engine bays, i've seen to many ECU's damaged that way.

I would have been concerned for rubber and plastics getting sprayed with brake cleaner.

I'll look into the gunk, you'd use a garden sprayer rather than low pressure hose?

Edit: Thanks, a quick search found "Gunk Green"
