One of the pics was taken in a dark garage

Don’t think it needs cleaning yet.

No No Overfinch copied the design..

BTw Turbo R seats are prolly the comfiest you'll even find in a car ;)
Oooo, sounds plush. Something for the future when I start to have a surplus of cash at the end of the month. I feel it'll be easier to find an over Overfinch P38 with the seats already in than getting a set of seats though.

There were Only 25 - 25th anniversary P38 overfinch's made so i chance the finding of a set as rare as eh..

Rocking horse carp!!

And only a select few were spec'd with 'em!! ;)

Did you respray those seats or just clean and treat them I've so what did you use

Just a good deep clean using this stuff and a stiff shoe brush.

Dirt often hides in the creases and exaggerates them!!

The leather cleaner is ok too but a tad too "soft" for 18yrs of ingrained dirt..

Just condition the seat after.

What's happening there Mark? Any movement on getting it back?
Well...... The breakers yard denied all responsibility for the flattened exhaust, which they did with a fork truck and the guy in the office admitted too when I was there... Soooooooo... It'll be repaired in three weeks as the garage is open (which is a surprise in itself) but they overwhelmed
with work from other closed garages. A new bumper, Aircon rad and gas along with the little air scuttle behind the bumper and then...... It'll go back to the d•ckheads at the breakers yard(whom I have real confidence in)to have the exhaust fixed aaaaand on each repair job finished, I will go and check them out and hopefully I wont refuse any of the work. Because at this point in time I have no faith in anybody else apart from the inspector who liked my bus:D
Nothing happens in France in August, the country shuts down for annual holidays.
it is actually changing,
Slowly I'll add!!!!

Well thanks to lots of time 'orf werk.

18 years of grime..

After cleaning you'll notice the leather will have a "softer" smoother feel to it, a less shiny appearance.

It is important to understand all leather is different, the leather used in the P38 is generally quite hard wearing so a more aggressive approach can be used.
This procedure above was relatively sedate considering..

Leather also has a sealant which is supposed to protect the leather over time it gets embedded with filth, contrary to some beliefs the dirt will erode this layer away exposing the "naked" leather and thats when cracks the bad fatique set in..

If you keep the seats clean and conditioned it negates this wear and makes everything better for longer!!

Also if the seats are maintained the level of aggression to get a good result is lowered, there is no getting away from the fact that "hard" cleaning will erode some of the old sealant away if there is indeed any left in the first place..

It is also worth noting Leather is "painted" and if you rub too hard it is possible to take this colour out of the seat - it is often seen naturally on the bolsters where people side in and out..

A great example is usually the Grey leather used in some P38s.

Anyway enough of my ramblings!!

Ohh Ohh another common misconception is the "wood" in the P38 thought by some motoring journalists as Plastic i'm out to prove it ain't!

Here ya go!!

Extra Thicc walnut ;) and lacquer!
