Classic rear radius arm

Hello,
I have taken the rear radius arm out to replace the front bush....now I can't get it back in. I cant get the rear bolt hole to line up - the axle needs to come back a bit but I can't move it - the car is on it's wheels so the axle isn't really free to move. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Cargo strap and pull it in line.

jack back end up so theres no weight on axle

Jack the chassis onto axle stands and jack axle next time

It's on it's wheels but the wheels are up on ramps....... I really didn't think this through

That is a statement of monumental fact. Why would you remove the thing that holds the axle in place with weight on it. Doesn't make a lot of sense does it?

I know. But it's only a couple of mm off now and I just need to get the bolt back in

can you slacken front nut on radius arm to give you some more

Pointed object to pull in line and push bolt in,large screwdriver, tyre leaver or perhaps pointed chisel

LoI see as scaffolding tool with ratchet, can't remember when I worked in garage ever calling it a podger

A large broken Phillips ground to a taper makes an excellent podger. Standard engineering term as far as i know. 9pc Pro Mechanics Hook Pick Podger & Gasket Scraper Hose Removal Trim Tool Set | eBay

Podger is a pointed probe used for lining up holes to aid insertion. A todger has basically the same purpose.
