Hi all,
After having lived with erratic central locking (1991 se vogue, no fob )for the past year , whereby sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't , I decided to take the drivers door trim off to look at the lock assembly etc.I wanted to see what happens electrically when I turned the key in the lock. The only electrical switch i could see was a microswitch fixed around the lock barrel assembly , which was only made when i operated the outside lever .When i turned the key the lever moved on the back of the barrel , but did not seem to operate anything electrical !When i pulled the inside sill button up and down , i can't see any switch being made either. Could anyone please explain the working of the keyswitch assembly, and would this be a heated lock assembly , as it looks like the one shown in the workshop manual.cheers.
