Hi, can anyone help, lI lost the fluid due to the two brake pipes being snapped,on the nearside calliper, the calliper has been serviced with new seals and dust seals and new pipes fitted. the problem is,there is no fluid coming through one of the pipes from the A.B.S. unit, is there anyway to fix this without having to strip the unit. thanks.​
 
How are you bleeding the system? From memory there is a particular way to bleed it . This is guessing now as it's so long since I bled a Classic,furthest rear from the m/cylinder then other. Furthest front from m/c but bleed with both nipples open,then other front with both nipples open. I maybe confusing this with duel braking system.
 
Yes, the front calipers have to be bled in an arsey versey fashion. There are three bleed nipples on each, two of which need to be bled simultaneously followed by the one left over. I have found that the best way is to make up a "T" piece of bleed hose. Others use two bleed hoses.

As usual bleed furthest away from the master cyl first, working back towards it. If you have replaced brake pipes, make sure there are no high points in them above the level of the fluid reservoir, as these can trap air. I will go away and look up the order for the fronts...

You have made an oldish man very happy, I haven't totally lost the plot. :D
 
Here is a section from the LR Workshop Manual :

"Remove the front wheel on the side furthest
from the master cylinder.
Connect a bleed hose to the primary bleed
screw on the front caliper furthest from the
master cylinder.
Connect a bleed hose to the secondary bleed
screw on the same side of the caliper as the
primary screw.
Bleed from the two screws simultaneously.
Connect a bleed hose to the other screw on
the front caliper furthest from the master
cylinder.

Repeat for the second secondary screw
on the front caliper.
Refit the front wheel.
Repeat for the front caliper nearest the
master cylinder."

...if that makes sense to anyone...hooray! It makes bugger all sense to me. Theres a diagram somewhere,I will try and find it...
 
UPDATE....... found the boost pump is not running, have power to the fuse and relay,but not sure if relay is working or not, so tomorrows job,,,,,,,,,find new relay.
