If they have the same standard connector then yes. I have a 99 Alpine head unit available with the code if you need one.

i thought that the alpine system had different amps etc to the clarion one

I bought a standard Pioneer unit (with I pod connection) which is a straight swap for the Alpine. Can a replacement make be fitted inplace of the clarion unit?
