Claerwen Reservoir Track

It's been a while since I've posted here since I sold my defender last year to help fund moving house. I've driven the claerwen res road (half of it) before in the landy. At that time I wasn't entirely sure what the status was.

Anyway, I was exploring elan valley on google maps last night, and saw that there is actually streetview available for that road! It stops where the byway officially finishes at the ford. As far as I can tell it's just a potholed gravel track. My question is whether you think my VW camper with BFG all terrains would make it? I plan to find a wildcamp spot somewhere along the track and stay the night.

I don't think google streetview have special vehicles to record byways, so I'm guessing that google's ford fiesta camera car got up and down it fine?!

It's just a graded access track so yes you should get up it in just about any vehicle.

It's a dead end unless you get permission from Elan to go on through the gate.
