Just wondering if anyone has any ideas a penny managed to get stuck in my cigarette light and I'm guessing it shorted across the terminals and stopped working, so I've replaced the fuse but still no power, I've checked the plug behind and it seems fine but the test lamp is showing no power.

Scrape the contacts clean. mine stopped working as they were covered in crud- scraped it with my nail and it work a treat.

Have you changed fuse 8, 30 AMP at side of drivers seat? There should be power to one side of this. Lighter is fed from this fuse via relay 7 inside BECM. If you have power to fuse and no power to lighter you have a duff relay 7. Lighter will only work with ignition in at least position 1.

Fuse 8 is okay and I had ignition radio working etc if I take fuse 8 out radio stops working will sort relay out tomorrow we're is the becm relay

If radio is working fuse 8 and relay 7 are fine. Download a copy of RAVE and look at diagrams. Looks like you have a bit of wire tracing to do.

Should be fun might put a new from live to cigarette socket from radio live and put a inline fuse in will be easier

You have two radio lives. One constant and one switched. Fuse 8 via relay 7 supplies that, it switches the sub systems on at position one. Radio, Hevac, Fag lighter Etc. Check for power at pin 5 (Green wire) on connector C1290 (99 on) or Green wire on C625 (pre 99). That is the Fag lighter wire. Same plug same position just different year connector designations. See RAVE for plug position, inboard on side of BECM.
