Cigar lighter

Hi, I bought a 1994 disco a couple months ago and recently tried to plug in my sat nav but the lighter socket is huge. Is there any kind of adapter for the newer/smaller lighter plugs?

Never come across that before - thought fag lighters were all a standard size

my 200 tdi is a standard size !!
I suggest you fit a new one !

Sounds weird, I thought the were universal anorl. I've got 2 sat navs and an htc phone and they all fit fine in my '94 disco.

you can buy the smaller sockets but it would be only good for accessories then. fag sockets are all universal, the smaller one's tend to be used in lorrys that are 24v so the smaller sockets are fitted as a 12v substitute and yes adaptors can be bought for them from most cb shacks, motorway service's and some car accessory shops.

Thanks so much for the advice. I also thought it was weird..
It's a 3 door disco, not sure if that makes a difference? Thanks for the link

probably do a better job fitting a big old standard on rather than an adapter though.

my cigar lighter is an odd size too.. cigar lighter didnt work so i bought another... it just flops about in there..

then bought a triple extension that plugs in and that didnt fit either, so got another an that didnt fit either..

so i wrapped some insulating tape round the plug to make it fit!
