I use to have a LR (for over 20 years) but got fed up of fixing them. So I just keep the LC for pulling LR out when they are stuck!!

That would have been perfect for me, but my wife has announced she wants to go on holiday in the Disco 'coz she doesn't trust the Honda to get to Skeggy. (She's going with the kids, but without me, as I have to work!)

So unless you think a Honda Estate (with lowered suspension !) can do those lanes, I may have to miss out this time.

I'm still working on persuading the wife that she should really go to Skeggy in the 'normal' car - but unlikely to succeed :-(

I've got a plan for you: Remove all the back seats from the disco and hide them at a mate's house, a couple of days before your Mrs is due to take it on holiday so there's no place to seat the kids and she has to take the car. Tell her some bull**** like they've been stolen because Land-Rover back seats are highly valuable or something. The money that has supposedly been spent on the replacement seats can be spent on fuel and booze for the laning weekend. Women will sooner believe bull**** than the truth!

Sorry, can't do that weekend ... might get the previous one in .. http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/791013-post15.html or weekend after ..... but just got back from Anglesey and the rear UJ on the front prop 'fell off' on the M62 ... took the prop with it, half the floorpan and possibly front diff input shaft/flange and gearbox output flange/shaft .. checking it later today if the weather dries out enough!!

Weekend before actually suits me better - but I still need to finalise the Landy. [EDIT I mean 22nd 23rd as the 'weekend before']

Have reached a turning point. Wife will go in Honda if I can convince her it will do a 150 mile journey without overheating or falling apart!! Now to work out what is wrong with the Honda......

Though, on the WAF* side of things, she has now named my Landy - when she saw the VIN started SALL, she immediately named it Sally.

*WAF = Wife Approval Factor
