I had mine on for 18mo tha not a problem. Then got pulled by one jobs worth pig an he gave me a notice to get it changed or face a fine. It's the angle apparently. Got To be forward facing.

Happy days

new winch has come
missis bought it for xmas

saying she wants to wrap it and not allowed till xmas
She cant even lift it lmao

And with the reg ill just see how it goes
But once the winch is on theres no where else to put a reg really

I put a metal plate above the fairlead to mount my plate... look on my build thread.
But I'd just leave it till someone pulls u like you say.

good idea suppose but theres many local to me never had an issue but like u said leave it till it happens i suppose

Put the plate on the roof rack leading edge. Only reason they don't like them on bonnet is because of anpr cameras cannot see them

Did have my number plate mounted on my roof rack....

but then I sold it ;)

So have mounted it above the fairlead...

Might give you a few idea's

Dont like the look on roof rack , and when winch is on theres no room on mine as the bullbars werid and the spot lights lol
Hmm maybe above spot lights but will be stopping airflow to the rad .
Ill just see how it goes

See what you mean - just had another look at your bumper setup - how about here...

normal_20131215_124432.jpg

Hmmm its like a jap car then lmao ,
Ano thos bars on the bumper im changing to 3inch wide 5mm thick seamless steel tubing as there too puny atm lol

or do what I did, as the bull bar looks pretty similar to my set up - grind it back and weld it onto your bumper ;)

The guy before me has done it weird
The standard bullbar is on 2 bolts
But on one side and oneside only its welded to the steering guards bracket
So theres 3 seperate things , winch bumper , bull bar and steering guard
But what am going to do proberly feb time
Is cut here .........

and weld the 3 inch tubing
bit like how u see normal winch bumpers ,
and also cut the old weld from bull bar to steering and weld the bull bar to winch bumper

also add 2 supports about 30mm OD tubing
and then proberly 10mm solid plate in the gap between the winch bumper and bullbar tubes , with holes in middle as recovery points
