So i know this subject has been flogged to death on here but there is so many places now to choose from i have no idea who actually sells a quality item and who dosent.

So im looking at getting a steering guard, have seen the usual ones at paddocks, john craddocks etc. there is good things to be said about rebel 4x4s products but the customer service is said to be pants??? and ive seen sites that advertise but dont put a price(makes me instantly lose interest) so i came across this:

Defender Daisycutter Steering Guard | Cheviot 4x4

Does anyone have one and whats it like?

I know where im getting my diff guards from (QT) so just need help with the steering guard.

Thanks

Matt

I have heard good things about cheviot 4x4, almost bought one myself. the paddocks hd steel jobby is pretty tough, my friends one has taken a lot of abuse and looks like new. I was given the paddocks alloy version and it's trashed already, don't reccomend that for any proper off road use.

Apparently this one is highly regarded also, think I shall be fitting one soon :D

That looks interesting, never seen a guard like that before. Good thinking with the interchangeable bars but not sure how that would work if you where to hit a rock or so in-between them!

Also wouldn't it just store mud and crap easier!

Thanks for the link, I didn't know there was a 4x4 store that close to me.

Cheviot are highly recommended... I go there regularly.

The lad behind the desk is called Ken, and is an honest fellow who does his best to help out.
