Up **** creek.
Im 32, passed at 17, got full no claims, no convictions, my birds just 23 passed her test at 20 but made a claim at 21, we are with CHURCHILL and last year they quoted us £280 all in for both of us fully comp.

This year they sent me a renewal notice for £370!!! cheeky bastards! I thought it should have gone down.

Can anyone tell me of a good insurance company to try as i really dont want to pay that much?

Cheers:)

I had the same problem as you, Was with Yes insurance and they upped it a lot at renewal, so i went on money supermarket, ended up paying less than 130 fully comp. Yes had quoted me 330!!! I'm with Highway now.

I've always found the renewals come quite high, experience this every year with the bikes.

The insurance companies expect people not to bother looking and just accept it.

Just today I had the insurance renewal come through for my bikes, gave them a call and said, you must be having a fokin laugh.

They dropped the renewal by 100quid... :)

use a couple of the money supermarket sites (moneysupermarket, compare the market etc.) and then try going direct to the supplier as they are all on commission and most add an extra charge to the premium.

Swift cover has come up a few times for me recently but currently tied in with sainsburys.

I looked on moneysupermarket:-£586, gocompare:-£530 and found an email from autotrader telling me i had asked for a quote off them last year, i followed the link and ended up getting third party on us both for £280, phoned Churchill up as they had told me in my prior telephone conversation "Thats the absolute lowest we can go sir but if you manage to find a better deal give us a call and we will try to match it":confused: They couldnt. So i bit the bullet and went third party with SWIFTCOVER for £280.

you do need to shop around every year, i found post office the worst for high renewals last year their renewal was £100 dearer than year before so checked the net and post office came back cheapest, so i call them and they say that price is only for new customers???? i also sort my grans insurance out and they done the same to her???

I wonder out of interest who on this forum is paying the least and how much? i feel another thread coming on, I bet there are some bargains out there somewhere.

The National Farmers Union (NFU) understand Landrovers and offer me and my lads Bill aged 19 and Jim Bob 18 (on L plates!) the best possible deal. You don't have to be farmer! Good luck, Jallopy

from what i read all insurance company will be going up by 20% this year. This because of the increase in claims after the bad weather, and coupled with the accident management firms with there no win no fee crap. So we the public get shafted again
