I've found what I think may be a good Landy specialist in South Wales but before I dive in head first... does anybody know of any cheap, reliable people that will carry out work on a Disco 300 series? Also, someone that does cheap welding. Money is very tight... I don't mind travelling a bit but South Wales area preffered;)

if money is tight dont be wasting it on labour charges ... buy some tools, a 130A MIG (gassed) and DIY

might cost you a bit to get started but you'll save in the not so long term

Would love to but no room or experience :(

if you've got room to park it you've got room to work on it - there's plenty of peeps on here who do their servicing and repairs on the road - and if not having any experience is going to be an excuse you'll never learn anything - maybe money isnt so tight after all ?

No... I have literally have NO ROOM at all and always have to park at an angle with 2 wheels on a steep curb at the best of times. surrounded by other vehicles practically bumper to bumper and accross the road, with no access to power or water either. No experience isn't an excuse, it ties in very well with the 'money is tight' thank you very much! This is because, if I go mucking around with stuff and making it worse, taking things apart etc that I know nothing about, it's probably gonna cost me even more for someone to correct it in the long run! Knowing my bloody luck, I'll do something to stop it running altogether and have to pay for a tow truck on top! Once I have finished my course and found a space to work, I will get some tools and have a go but for now, I need it sorted cheaply as it's now our daily runner. No excuses here thanks... just skint and worried!
