it depends on definition of rattle ,ive allways found the two quite seperate noises but hard to describe but youd know if it was actually heard
very true but you can never be sure of someones description,the number of new clutches that i had to refit because of itI find that a release bearing is more of a grinding or squealing noise, whereas a rattle I'd tend to point to friction plate springs.
