Trying to order some parts for my dizzy, got a prob

paddocks says either chassis suffix C or suffix D for there parts. where do i find these in chassis number? Cos i had a look at this :Land Rover FAQ - History, Production, Sales - Chassis Numbering

but it doesnt say anywhere a D, the only C that applies is for the wheel base. But the engine bits says D and C which are 2.5l petrol and diesel respectively.

How do i work it out. Its a 1981 109" 4cyl 2.25 petrol (which is an H on engine bit). Oh and i THINK its a lucas dizzy but not sure.

cheers all

Cheers for all the help ian. upon further inspection of the bits we've taken out, and tom waking up abit when reading the Haynes, we've figured out its a ducilier one, crud...... good job the shops open. apparently its fully interchangable with the Lucas 45d4.... yeh.

cheers for the help matey

The ducellier distributor was fitted to a lot of leyland/rover vehicles due to supply problems from lucas , IIRC might have been caused by a strike (not unusual at the time):)
