Hi, I have just bought a 1988 110, 2.td.
MOT Fail on several parts... chassis mainly, rear nearside and offside (tie bar) suspention component mountings. Body support mounting bar, rear cross member and offside front bulkhead mounting outrigger.

This is my 1st landrover so am reasonably new to this... i have found a ex mod 110 chassis for cheap, with no chassis number... will this fit mine??

And What sort of money am i looking at the get these parts replaced/fixed?
Any ideas where to buy from.. have looked at MM parts in droitwitch... they seem cheapest atm

Thanxs Tom

To give you a rough idea of cost I replaced my rear crossmember with extensions. I bought a hand made one from MibComponents (Warwick) for £250. You can buy cheaper but these are quality. They also fit them for about the same price. For the rest you need a good welder and some plate so it depends on your contacts. My mate in Alcester is an excellent welder if you need someone. Just PM me for his number. Suspension mounts are about a fiver each and will need welding on but it really depends on how bad the surrounding area is.
Good luck.

Strip your landie down and port everything over to the new chassis.

Good opportunity to to replace bushings and upgrade to stainless nuts and bolts/fixings/brake/fuel lines etc

If you are near Droitwich I know a great welder, expereinced on LR and very reasonable. Did an outrigger for me and several holes this time. Also he has confiedence of the local MOT garage so his stuff flies through. PM me
