charging problem

took my 200tdi offroad last week, and since then been having a prob with battery not charging at all. alternator belt aint snapped. rev counter also stopped working at the same time. anyone any ideas wot either of these could be??

noo alternator needed, or at least a strip down and recondition.

is there anyway to test it, make sure it deffo needs a new one before i go spendin me money??

wot about the rev counter, where does it get its signal from? it sometimes flickers on and off

Its your alternator - the rev counter is fed from it too.

Take it to an auto electricians shop and get it rebuilt - got one done last year for £40.
