my dads disco has been playing up for ages it will suddenly lose all power and wont rev up but will run fine whens its ruing properly weve had it plugged into a compuer and had all the wiring checked but cant find why its doing it weve managed to get hold of another ecu correct one for the engine but can i just plug it in and have it work or do the keys need reprogramming?

It will need programming with the injector codes and the immobiliser, anyone close to you with either a Hawkeye or Nanocom can do it for you. Might be worth looking on the LZIR map and see if anyone around can help.

Also I believe the ECU is transmission sensitive also? (I could be wrong) So make sure it is an Auto ECU if the car is Auto and same for manual.

problem with it is it runs perfectly fine but for no reason it stops reving up engine light flashes if you stop it and start it up again it normally runs fine again

its going to garage saturday hopefully he will get it all going nand programed up cheers
