Changing front reversing sensors

One of the sensors on my D3 is showing faulty, do i really have to remove the bumper to change it?

Do a search on here as I am sure somebody changed there’s by drilling it and getting it out.
Without taking off the bumper or making a mess

can’t remember what model it was but think FL. But all similar anyway.

The usual rusty bolts probably

that would end up with the need for welding a repair plate of some sort

maybe just a guess

It's like a 20 minute job to remove the front bumper. It's much safer to do that, than risk damage to the bumper, trying to get the duff PDC sensor out.
