Hi everyone,

Just tried changing my footwell on my Transportable, Its really hard and I wasn't sure what bolts I needed to take out.

Does any one have any info or websites with tutorials on?

Many thanks
John

The footwell is part of the bulkhead and is therefore welded to it. The normal way is to buy a new footwell and weld it in - if you're lucky you'll be able to weld it in over the top of the old one. if not then you have to cut away the old one first.

There will likely be a support bracket under the footwell which bolts to it and also to the chassis. Other than that you've just got the screws holding the floorpan and gearbox tunnel in place.

good luck.

Also had a go at this, started with the passenger side as it is easier.
When I replaced the opposite side I removed the wing and only cut away the rotten steel. Loads of room to manovere. the new pieces were cut from a new footwell and welded in.
If you have any further questions please ask and I'll try to help
