Just bougt a '99 Freelander 1.8 petrol(must be bloody mad:doh
. It had head gasket done earlier this year. I had a 2000 f'lander uptill 4 years and had the same problem and i know when i bought the gasket set from LR main dealer they sugested that i fitted a different set of pipes that re routed the coolant and had the thermostat in a different position,
The one ive just bought looks like it has the original pipework.
Does anyone know if this different set of plumbing is still available and would it reduce the risc of head gasket failure in the future and (last one) is it a deeler part only.
