Change fuel filter

I recently bought a 95 Disco with 120k miles. I recently took my truck to the dealer for an idol issue (I have a second post on this issue) and they found a recall on my gas tank. I took the truck home while the tank was on order. I took the truck out to run some errands and when I went to start the truck to go home the truck would not start. I check to see if I had spark and I did. I checked to see if I had gas by depress the gas valve on the top of the engine and very little gas shot out. I had the truck towed to the dealer so they can put in the recall on the gas tank and asked them to replace the fuel pump on it (I supplied new pump ).

I now want to replace the fuel filter. Are they any specific instructions in replacing the fuel filter??

which petrol engine is it? :doh:

When replacing the fuel filter the book says depressurize the system ie. removing the fuel pump relay and running the engine till it stops. .
Although I have only done it once, I didn't bother to depressurize and undid the fuel glands at each end, surprise surprise no pressurized fuel escaped only that was in the filter. Job done.

And what's wrong with using the standard Font, it's a lot easier to read.
