Excuse me, I am a proffessional forestry contractor with several saws, Talk to my 95cc one!! Axe is a lot of fun though!

Make of saw depends on what you want as the two main makes (the only ones I would suggest) husquarvna and stihl are both equally as good. size around 46cc, maybe a bit smaller with a 15" bar will be plenty for firewood etc.

ive got a hymac with a shredder for cutting down and stripping trees of branches and bark :smokin: beat that !!!

Most big stuff is doing away with cutters,most of the money is in private work ere....

true, but you will never get rid of cutters. still a lot of us in cumbria where commercial stuff aint because of access, terrain, size and species of trees...the list goes on! all it means is we get left with bloody difficult sites!!!
