Imported our Discovery II TD5 from Guernsey.
Very convoluted but through Customs process now.
Now the DVLA and registration process.
Completing the 'V55/5 Application form'.
Struggling to complete various questions where the guide to filling the form recommends
'Take this information from the Certificate of Conformity. '
Can't seem to find any sensible looking information on the Internet, and because of the age Land Rover seem to have stopped supporting enquiries for a copy of the CoC.
If anyone could either help with the information or a steer on where to get hold of a copy of the CoC, that would be very much appreciated.
Cheers Trio

What figures/information are you looking for?
Maybe another D2 owner could supply the numbers/info from their V5?

J

A CoC would be ultra important if we decided to import ours into France, so very interested in this.
Dunno why LR are being so obstreoporous about it, surely it's just a case of printing one off and then charging you like F for it!

There are online services that charge to get them, £150+ may have to go that way and just swallow the cost.
Maybe you can help with the info on the V5 @Stanleysteamer.

Of course assuming DVLA dont want to see a copy of the CoC with the application.

Gosh yes, Didn't realize that's what the OP wants.
Message me @Trio Jay and I'll give you chapter and verse from the V5.
Could even scan it and send you a copy, with VIN, well bits of, and reg number blacked out.
If that helps!

We have a thread about this already regarding the ulez expansion use the search to find it. Landrover will supply a c of c within a few days via email then follow up with a proper copy via post. That's what I got.

A td5 will not be ulez no matter what but if you need it for other reasons you should be good.

The basic information can also be taken from a V5 of an identical car.

Thats for a vehicle with a V5...OP needs it to complete importation and registration not all export models are the same spec and if they ask for a cert a copy probably wont be accepted as wont have vin on it or silver stamp...

To marjon Stanleysteamer, and kevstar et al..
Thanks for all the offers of helpfeedback so far, I'll try and respond with the specific requirements..
I can understand LR's lack of entusiastic response, JLR I have seen in the press are struggling with Sales and the focus is on selling new vehicles.
The DVLA are not asking for the copy of the CofC, although I am still trying to source one even if I have to part with the cash!
I was able to get temporary cover on it before from Adrian Flux.
I have a good MOT contact [ a friend has a fleet of Land Rovers ].

I do have some information from the Guernsey Registration Certificate, but there are several gaps.
I was trying to upload a list of the missing information, but I imagine this is blocked for security reasons so I apologise for the lengthy details below:

these are all on the V55/5

12 Type TakethisinformationfromtheCertificateofConformityIVA/MSVAcertificate.

28 Eurostatus directivenumber TakethisinformationfromtheCertificateofConformity(ifshown).
Generallyshown with exhaust emissions (for example 1999/102A/EC, 98/69/EC).

36 Massinservice (kg) Take this information from the Certificate of Conformity or get it from the vehicle manufacturer.

42 Enginespeed sound level (min-1)
Take this information from the Certificate of Conformity. The engine speed means the speed at which the readings are taken (for example, 81 (stationary) at 3000 (engine speed) min – 1/70). You do not need to fill this in if you are providing an IVA or MSVA certificate. However, if you have this information you must give it here.

43 Drive-bysound level(dB(A)) TakethisinformationfromtheCertificateofConformity.

I'll also look at other suggestions

The form says recommended, not required. The data is generic across all vehicles with the same engine and easily accessible. That should be enough?

Don't know where you get that from.
I just downloaded and read both the V55/5 and the "how to fill it in" sheets from the DVLA and didn't see any mention of "recommended".
I could be going blind, mind you.;)

Wonder what DVLA would do if the OP put engine spec as Euro 6:eek::D. Do they actually check;), If they do how:rolleyes:.
A D2 is a D2.
Would they refuse if some spaces where left blank I wonder. As V5s seem to have plenty of empty boxes;).

Most of that should be available on the tinernet dimensions and weights.
other stuff from somebody elses V5.

Not sure about the last few about noiseo_O

Just looking at my V5c, not much there I am afraid.
In fact nothing of any help!!!

12 Type ---------------------------CoC only
13 Variant ---------------------------CoC only
14 Version ---------------------------CoC only

15 Lengthof vehicle(mm) CoC or from handbook.

16 HC(g/kmorg/kWh) ---------------------------CoC only

19 Maxnetpower (kW) ---------------------------CoC only

20 Technical permissible maximum towablemassof thetrailer(a&b) ---------------------------CoC only (although I know it is 3.5 tonnes with a braked trailer)

21 Trackwidth ---------------------------CoC only

22 Widthof vehicle(mm) ---------------------------CoC only

23 NOx(g/kmorg/kWh) ---------------------------CoC only

26 Maxpermissible mass ---------------------------CoC only

28 Eurostatus directivenumber ?????????????????????????????????
Generallyshown with exhaust emissions (for example 1999/102A/EC, 98/69/EC).

36 Massinservice (kg) ---------------------------CoC only although I think it is 2.1 tonnes.

42 Enginespeed sound level (min-1) ---------------------------CoC only

43 Drive-bysound level(dB(A)) ---------------------------CoC only

To be honest this reminds me very much of having to do IVA.
A total pain. But a lot of this can be got from the handbook or various other sources.
But it is a real shame you have to fork out £150 just to get this stuff.
All the categories mentiond on the V55/5 have spces for them on the V5C they are simply not filled in.
Sorry to not be able to be more help.
and I REALLY do not understand why this info is not openly available on the net. What harm can it do?
