Central locking..?

Just bought a freelander TD4 on a Y plate,....I don't have any manuals for the car, can anyone tell me if when pressing the fob to open the car, why I have to press unlock twice.Is it a saftey feature, or is something a miss.The DS unlocks, but not the PS, until I press fob again. Am presently looking to buy the manuals for the car, if anyone has a spare set they want to sell, would be interested.

as said, safety feature but you can have it changed by a dealer. as for the manuals just do a search for rave disc on here, download it, burn to a disc and enjoy! full dealer workshop manual and its got all the owners manuals on it as well
