Hi all,
I have a converted commercial freelander TD4.
It had only the 1 key and no remotes, I have recently purchased a pair of remotes and the small green module. I was told that they were a matched set to the module.
I believe the module fits behind the glove box fuse board but I can't see where. I am looking for an identical module to remove and replace with this one. Is it inside the CCU?
Anybody out there please HELP.
Many thanks,

The receiver actually sits on top of the instruments under the cowl but unless the vehicle had central locking previously then you are going to need a lot more than just the receiver. The central locking system is controlled by the CCU which is behind the Fuse box

Do you have a door lock release/set switch in the central console? This would at least tell if you have the lock servo motors in the doors.

Thanks for this.
I can see the CCU behind the fuse panel. So this should fit under the cowl behind the steering wheel.
I have central locking off the key and a locking button below the stereo next to the rear window button.
I was told by a local land rover dealer that all UK spec freelanders had remote central locking.
Many thanks,

If you assume that the vehicle was originally fitted with central locking (I wasn't sure about the commercial) then presumably the existing receiver will be under the top cowl of the instrument panel on top of the instruments themselves. As it has been without power for some time you should need to resync the receiver with the fobs. Unfortunately the RAVE disk is not precise about the relationship between the receiver and the CCU so I could not be certain that all you need to do is swap over the receivers.

As the CCU would be connected to the existing receiver which is live it may be adviseable to disconnect the battery 1st

Thanks again,
All fitted but it looks like i need to resync the remotes.
Has this got to be done by a Land Rover dealer?
Many thanks again,
