Hi Guys,

I was replacing the front speakers on my 93 defender 110 when I noticed a wiring hanging loose just behind the driver side speaker. It feeds into the grey plug which connects to the box which I think is for central locking. The code on the box is below. Everything seems to work fine although I did have an engine warning light appear the first few times I tried to start the vehicle. Can anyone tell me what it is for, and if it should be connected to something?! I tried searching for wiring diagrams but struggled to find the right one.

It is an orange wire with a silver stripe and feeds into the bottom left or top right (depending which way up your looking at it) spot on the grey plug.

Code for the box is:

YMC 106280
10AS - 433MHZ
52010499D
1349201
50/03

Many thanks for any help

It sounds like the aerial receiver wire for the remote. If it is then as long as it is attached to the 10as box at the one end it should just stop as if it's been cut off.
