I am in the process of fitting remote central locking using a hawk kit.

I was only going to fit it to the front doors, but after reading a few threads on here I have decided to fit it to the rear safari door.

I am going run the wiring up from the dash behind the head lining, but just wanted some ideas how to get it from the headlining down to the door. Anybody got some pics of their installs please?

If you've got rear wash wipe you can run it through the same rubber thing that feeds them.
I decided against it incase it failed , you can at least gain Access through the safari door if it does.
Mine failed once with the Doris and her friends on a night out.
She had to climb over the seats in a pencil skirt and was not amused!

Same as Flossie I didn't fit front door locks so left rear door so access could be gained if the central locking failed.

I can't remember the thread designation but there's one on here where someone did this, basically all it required was a hole in bottom of the lock section on the safari door. Didn't look hard at all. He ran it through the wiper conduit.cant remember how it came down. Think it went inside of the like back door frame? Then like tucked into carpet he did after. If you're putting cover panels in it should be pretty easy to hide

I fitted the Hawk system in mine, but left the key barrels in. Or rather never thought of taking them out!

Here's a link I saved from another forum. LINKY Excellent pictures showing how they set it up. Didn't get around to doing the back one on mine as I wasn't sure how to fit the servo to the lock. I then found this link, so it's going to be a next summer job.
If you haven't got a rear wiper or heated window, You'll be able to buy the 90 degree brackets and the rubber conduit connector to run the wire through.
