Central locking issue possibly

Hi all new to the forum I have discovery 2 td5 (2003) went to unlock this morning (wouldnt unlock remotely )only with key on drivers door the vehicle starts no problem, how ever there is an icon flashing on the milometre/trip screen have taken picture ,if you arm the alarm open the door sets alarm off .but cannot unlock with either keys both have new batterys any one help please ?????
