Hi, I have spent time searching for an answer in the forums. It may be that I missed it but...

On my Disco 2 all doors lock ok with the fob and all doors unlock on the fob except the drivers door. I have to unlock that with key.

The central switch in the inside dashboard locks and unlocks all doors except the drivers door again.

Is there some logic here which dictates if this is indeed the driver's door actuator playing up and it's just that the key forces it to unlock? Or can we not be sure as there may be electrical issues?

If anyone has some logic/checks to do to ascertain the problem that would be great. I am happy to buy an actuator but if there's something else I need to do to rule that out etc that would be great to know. Many thanks.

Hi. It's almost sure that the actuator is gone cos the circuit is the same to lock and unlock by switching polarity and the driver's door is separate circuit not together with the others... put your ear on the door card or use a stetoscope while you unlock with fob and if you hear any faint activity then you are 100% certain. Get a new actuator and get done with it

Ahh great. Thanks for answering so quick. Yes I can hear activity in the door even from the outside when I put my ear to it. So that suggests signal getting through I hope.
