another job...

the bulb in my window/hand brake console is out, ive tried replacing it, no avail, and all the switches etc work fine, replaced the hevac bulbs during the recent clutch job, so just leaves that 1 bulb now...what can i do ? panel and switches work fine, wires seem ok, can i just re wire the bulb from another source ?

also...i need a new steering damper, oem one is £55 odd on island 4x4 or paddocks, cant remember what one, but they also have a britpart celular dynamic one with foam or something ? ,i presume the oem is the better to go for but just thought id check ?

thanks

Check the holder and check the contacts - meter out to see if there is actually power to it!! and also test the lamp actually works..!!

You may be able to jump off of one of the other lamps - remember that in series the resistance increases and in parralell something else probably happens - I am no electrician - maybe others could indicate the best wiring method....

Stick with OEM - Britpart maybe OK at first but a few months later it may lose efficency - always stick with OEM if the funds allow!

ok thanks, im no sparky either, dont have a multimeter to check

but on the damper- i know always oem over britpart, but just the "new technology" thing, if its a new product as opposed to one designed when the p38 was made,if it would be better to use or not and if anyone has expirience of them dynamic celualar ones, £20 price difference so money isnt the issue

There is no need for that type of damper on the steering. OEM is quite good enough.

ok thanks,il get the oem one then

another quick question- the rear corner trim, that sits either side of the upper tailgate, you know the big black section...are they easy to remove/replace ?
