Cd radio not working??? just a dim light

Time to fix a few things on my new toy.

First things first..... Music


I have a 95, 4L V8 HSE,with a CD player thing in the boot.

The radio head bit up front, just lights up when I press the on button.
no numbers, or sound or anything.... just a faint greeny glow from the lcd display.

Anyone know it this is a code lock out or similar or if its just stuffed???
Any help much appreciated before I have to buy a new one...

seems like a lot for an old car radio....
unless anyone has one they want to get rid of???

If it's a Clarion, you can get it repaired for a flat fee of around £75 to £85. There's a service centre in Swindon. They do a superb job and will also fit an audio in lead for use with a MP3 player / iPod etc for an extra twenty quid or so. Try a search for Clarion on here. I'm not at home at the moment so can't route out the invoice.

why wud yu want to - when yu can pick up a noo CB for about £45?

Hello, get the unit repaired by the Clarion Service Centre. I got mine done a couple of weeks ago, posted it on Monday, fitted back in car on Wednesday. Amazing service and it now works perfectly. I found them on ebay. I would recommend these people to all RR owners, Tim.
