Cd player, no sound?

I've got a new car stereo but I don't have any sound, it lights up but thats it, I've tried in a car and it works fine, I've also tried another stereo in the discovery and that works fine!

Any ideas? I can't think of anything it could be

speaker wires are in the wrong place on the plug ???

Perhaps you need an adapter for the wiring.

it's ok I got it sorted, it was the stereo, in some cars an extra wire needs to be joined.

Mark, what wire was that..? I am having the same sort of problem in my 93 RRC. Stereo works fine in an another car but no sound in my Rangie...!!!!
