Hi all 1st post, so here goes.. Ithink I must have laoded a cd upside down or someting ,into the 6xcd cassette thats under the driver seat, now every time I try to play cd's I get the message 'cd error' on the display .I disconnected the power supply but to no avail can anyone help? thanks

Ta Buster, the problem is I cant retreive the cassette with the offending disc out of the player. Any ideas? Lovely part of the world where you are, stayed in Friars vennel in Dumfries for 12 months when I worked on the ICI plant.

Ah just came in mind that ah had a clarion changer kickin' about in the garage, dug it and the instructions/fitting guide thingy. Don't know if they're all the same or not, but on this one ye have tae flip the front open and press the eject button tae release the magazine.
In the troubleshooting bit, it says........
Symptom :- "No Disc" sign appears when searching for discs.
Cause :- 1. Disc inserted upside down
Remedy :- 1. Read the section on "INSERTING THE C.D" carefully and reinsert the c.d correctly.
Cause :- 2. Moisture or dirt on disc
Remedy :- 2. Wipe disc free of moisture and dirt.

It's no too bad but better outside Dumfries;) If it's bin a while since ye were last here, things have certainly changed!! The Vennel is not what it used tae be, a lot of the shops are boarded up and left tae ruin. There was talk of knockin' the whole lot down and startin' again, but don't know if that'll ever happen.

here's a couple of pics for ye.....

hope this helps;) :D

Still no joy mate, cassette stuck fast and no way to get at it! Dont know which bit youre in, Ive had many a drunken night in Lochmaben, think the pub was the Kings arms...

sorted ! 'discool' advised to slide a credit card along the top of the cassette that will activate a micro switch and it worked first time!!
