CD cartridge won't eject. Help please...

The CD cartridge under the driver seat won't eject when I press the button. A "no cartridge" reading shows on the head unit.

Any ideas how I can sort this problem please?

Is the power supply healthy? Have you slid the door open properly (there are two sections)?

Helpful if we knew the make of the player, but if it's a Philips unit place a thin card, a credit card will do, over the cartridge top to trip a microswitch the cartridge will then pop out.

It's the original factory fitted unit in a 2001 Disco if that helps.

Mine does this intermittently too.....then it tends to fix itself.
