Chaps,

I've got an old CB in the back of the garage somewhere - I think its 20+yrs old or thereabouts (from my Yoof when I used to play with my Rubber Duck oooer)

Question is, it is likely to be compatible with the current 80 channel units? Have the frequencies been changed?

does it mention a frequency on the front? 27mhz is the norm, toms cb in the series is 26 year old and is a current one, dont do the european band (the latter 40 i suppose) but does uk

I'l dig it out and have a look - got some other stuff in there that I was given - I Think there is a US spec (AM?) CB and a Burner (I guess thats a signal amp rather than a very charitable person who puts Freelanders out of our misery)

LOL

I think there is a SWR Meter and a 40ch Handheld in the box too...

I'll dig it out over the weekend and take a butchers...

The Handheld is, if I recall correctly, the size of a breeze block...!

The only thing I think I could use it for is chocking the wheels!

I know there are two different standards for CB, it's in a small circle on the rig, like 27/83 one of them is now illegel, but i'll have to look it up.

It has to be FM and 4 Watts or under. I'll do some research for you.

Stu
