as my 300 TDI is a jap import, i noticed it has a cat warning light on the dash.
does that mean that the sender unit in the exhaust is linked to the ECU?.
if so will it end up buggering up the fueling?.
OR
is it just a warning light on the dash?
OR
shall i cut it out and weld it into the new exhaust?.
any ideas you have out there would come in handy.
who sells the de cat pipe as i notice craddocks dont do exhausts for imports (going by their web site)
many thanks

Hi,

I also have a jap import 1998 R plate,I dont know about the CAT side
of things but I recently needed a new exhaust at my MOT,mid & rear
section and the local tyre place had one ordered the same day & the
parts ID's were taken straight from their exhaust book so your exhaust
might just be a standard one.I doubt they made a different exhaust for
the export market but I may be wrong,

Cheers............Kertir.:)
