A mere fifty quid and half an hour of my time cutting bits of rubber & gluing them on before fitting

I think she looks more purposeful now....:)

Ha! Thought all you eagle eyed Roverers would have spotted the new addition

Roof rails, sourced locally and for the princely sum of fifty squid

That is for good money. They are a bloody fortune from Land stealers. All you need now are some cross rails and you will actually be able to put something on the roof.

I have them, but not putting them on until required as this thing is greedy enough on fuel without adding resistance

I was expecting to pay a fortune for them because I saw someone the bay for 350 quid and 35 delivery :eek:

But my mates dad messaged me and said he had some, come have a look. I was prepared to go as high as 150, but he said fifty quid so I almost snapped his wrist handing over the money

They do seem a little wibbly wobbly side to side, but I guess that'll disappear with the cross rails. I also have a 580 litre roof box that'll fit on there nicely.

The reason I wanted these are manyfold, but mainly her indoors ordered new worktops for the kitchen and they are 2x 3mtrs and 1x 2mtrs. They wanted a fortune to deliver to the island of Inverness  So I suggested since we'll be in Glasgow at start of March, why not take them up the road ourselves?

Next, I get to choose a massive LED bar light and pop it on between the rails there :D

but grill still looks like pigeon **** !!

Actually, if you saw it in real life you'd change your tune. Few mates said a similar thing when they saw the pictures, then when they saw it in the flesh as it were, they changed their tune. One said he thought it really suited the car and brought it into this century.

Horses for courses, not everyone likes what others like....

Yes it is an Anderson. The wee red cap keeps the worst of the weather out, but a dab of 3 in 1 spray oil keeps it clean.

I am bobbing along. The visit to Glasgow is to see a professional about my mares and whatnot... We'll see how that pans out o_O
